I look forward to your comments on this blog.

May God strike you dead.

Finally a real voice who represents my position. Mr. Bloch is a realist who understands the way the world works. Business drives the world and our business community needs to be supported. Everything will trickle down.
January 9th, 2010 at 11:44 pm
I agree with you sir. Your point is well taken. What is the point of electing reps if you don’t just let them run the gov’t. They are very very smart people. Just look at their backgrounds in business and you will see that these people know how to deal with money. Also, why shouldn’t Sedona busineses benefit from the ADOT money. The City gets taxes to fund the increasing demands of a larger City Government.
I think that we should just stick on the same path we are on. I just don’t believe the numbers. My business is booming. Sure I had to lay off 12 people, but I am making more money now because of that decision.
Now the local construction companies will get the contracts from ADOT for trenching the road for lights. They will make money doing it. There will be other contractors who will get business from the work. Sure, these elected leaders know that their friends are getting big contracts from ADOT but better that it be done in town rather than a phoenix company come do it. We get the taxes on a $2 million project ($175,00 or so) to fund the increasing size of our City Government. Sometimes we have to accept that dark skies and views and vistas have to be sacraficed in order to keep our economy going.
What are you writing about next Mr. Bloch.

Nice post.

Hey Erubus…You are a pedantic, sophomoric idiot who can’t tell his probiscus from his colon. God? You believe in “God?” God is not up there fool. He is right here embodied in those of us who can see the truth and apply it with precision. God was created by our predecessors who knew from jump street the locol populace needed to believe in something bigger than themselves while we enslaved them and made them do our will. While they believed something awaits them after death we sucked the blood out of them while they were alive. That’s the way of the world Erubus. And don’t think I don’t know who you are.
In Greek mythology, Erebus was the son of a primordial god, Chaos, and represented the personification of darkness and shadow, which filled in all the corners and crannies of the world. His name is used interchangeably with Tartarus and Hades since Erebus is often thought of as part of the underworld.
Well Erebus, my little Munchkin, next to me and Mr. Smith, you are an egg.

Its a shame when someone is so smart they become dumb. Mr. Bach, you begin with a faulty premise in your lighting arguments. When someone is so obviously blind to actual reality it becomes easy to dismiss them. The danger is that blind people like you have the agenda that runs the system, while those of us who lead decent lives lack that agenda, and therefore don’t ascend to places where power could corrupt. Would that you could apply your intellectual might to something worthy. To do that you simply must embrace your own Godhood, sir, on which you perversely pontificate on to our demonic blogster above. Ironic, since your view is a satanic one (not that its not true, but satanic nonetheless since it centers on your own ego and the servitude of others). Perceptions like these make me sad. I pray that you are shown happiness and truth some day!!
January 23rd, 2010 at 11:00 am
Mr. Bartlett:
Keep your useless prayers to yourself. I do not believe in your gods or the weak arguments you lay down in favor of darkness. Let there be light! Wasn’t that an alleged command by the god you worship as detailed in the Bible, probably the deadliest book ever created by man to subjugate man? The good never ascend to places of power because they always lose to those who are not saddled by morals or ethics; a sense of fairness or care for human life.
Think it through. Were it not for the rich and powerful, kings and emperors we would never have had pyramids, castles, museums, fine art and music. It was and is always those of power and wealth who build civilization.
Lucifer means “bringer of light.” Luz means light. We need the lights on 89A to cast away the darkness you seek.
And remember this, only light can cast a shadow

I wanted to clarify my statement, since my characterization of your perception as satanism has inadvertently classified me as a christian, or at least of a Bible-oriented spirituality. This is not the case. I read more closely your positions, and I want to pull back on my demonizing of your views. However, I find it hard to justify your support of the powerful. My implication of your satanic views are due to the import your give to the powerful, as if their power is what makes what they do right for the populace. This is one of the points from which I feel your perceptions are clouded. We would not have had pyramids, castles, museums, fine art, or music, without the working class who built those places, those instruments, raised those children who found talents in architecture, music, and the arts. What you are referring to is called leadership, not power, and we have a lack of leadership in this city because the council does not act with the will of the people, but instead acts with the will of the money. This has been the trend of capitalist democracy but this trend will not continue. Short term solutions to long term problems are no longer an option for those of us who are aligning with the highest spiritual good.
Phoenix has lights too, but people get hit all the time. At issue here is not safety, and it would benefit everyone if the “leaders” of the pro-lighting segment of our community would be honest about their intent and their expectations. They claim all of this is in the name of safety. I contend that it is in the name of development. Well, Sedona has the first McDonalds with teal arches because this city is known for its tenacity to resist corporate changes that influence its texture and values. This lighting plan is an atrocity and the only value it has is in the minds of the fearful and the powerful.
January 24th, 2010 at 9:22 am
Bill:
You confuse acknowledgement of the powerful with support. Might is right and it is always the gun that in the end rules. So you are not a Bible-thumping Christian. That’s heartening. But you call yourself a spiritual being which I can already tell by your innocent perception of actuality.
And just because you demonized me doesn’t mean I am a demon. I am Boch.
And I knew you would respond that civilization was built upon the backs of the people by their rulers who not only provide leadership but direction as well. Imagine if you gave up the bureaucracy of a city and put the laymen in charge the city would turn into a dump within a month. Leaders are leaders because they are smarter and the powerful are the smartest of them all.
And how do you know you are aligned with the highest spiritual good? That’s a subjective observation on your part.
February 6th, 2010 at 5:56 pm
Hey Bill, save your breath, are you really going to try to explain respect, or decency to Mr. B who is clearly not thinking in a straight line? Wo is he really now making Lucifer the bringer of “lights” to 89A. Is this guy even listening to his own twisted defense? As far as I can see from his writings, Mr. B gets his last word simply because people get tired of responding to such blather.
February 7th, 2010 at 8:16 am
Way to go, GG! Nice summation of considerable gobbledygook. Will someone please explain if
“Bach” and “Bloch” are one and the same? Seems to me this song has been played before.
February 7th, 2010 at 10:54 am
The misspelling of my name was that mezzomorph Ocsher. Don’t blame it on me. And yes, stay in the kitchen, barefoot and making screwdrivers and stay out of a man’s game.
February 7th, 2010 at 12:54 pm
Maybe Sanford, when being critical you can spell Mr. Ochser’s name right. note the spelling Sanford. Maybe you can’t see very well over those twelve foot stacks of 100 dollar bills on your desk.
Cliff “we encourage misspellings” Ochser
February 7th, 2010 at 6:49 pm
OK,Boys. Is it Sanford or Sandford? BTW, I prefer Bloody Marys and it’s too cold to go barefoot. A man’s game? Most of them are as boring as watching paint dry. Jump off your cross, Bloch/Bach. We need the wood.
February 7th, 2010 at 7:03 pm
You need the wood? Why? Is it because trees die when you walk into a room? Tsk. Tsk. Tsk. Because you are incapable of sustaining an intelligent dialoque you harp upon simple typos made by a busy, busy man taking time out from exploiting people to enjoy childish palavor on this site.
You must be a kindergarten teacher or something like that. Your immaturity sticks out like a pimple on an adolescent’s nose. As boring as watching paint dry? I’ll tell you what’s boring. This election so far. So when is it going to heat up for real? So far it looks like the, er? yes…Cliff calls them The Bloc… the Bloc are trouncing the minority slate at every turn, nook and cranny. The Litrell You-Tube was a sample of what’s in store for you guys.
On a personal note Bonnie Blew, why don’t you just blow down a straw or wooden house? That’s more in your league. We’re talking a brick house here built through the years by those still in control.
You are playing with the big boys now so go find your own sandbox to litter.
Meoch!
February 7th, 2010 at 9:55 pm
Finally the real Bloch/Bach just stood up. Since you know so much about the “big boys” and imply acceptance of mud-slinging endeavors such as the cheesy Litrell You-Tube, why didn’t you run for City Council on their slate? You would obviously have made the cut. In fact,is it possible you already have? Perhaps the 12 foot stack of $100 bills on your desk, to which “Cliff” refers, could answer that question. Or, maybe, just maybe “Waterbaby” is feeding your kitty.
The sandbox I have was bought and paid for with my own hard earned money and, therefore, serves me very well. I’m beholding to no one, which suits me just fine, thank you.
February 8th, 2010 at 8:56 am
Dear Bonnie Blew:
Nice to know you own your own “kitty litter” box.
I am only a part time resident in Sedona and serving on council is way too boring. That’s a job for underlings. Since you are so far behind on what’s happenning let me fill you in. It seems a dirty deal is in the works between ADOT and the mayor, a comprimise so to speak. The whole lights issue may become moot before the election. But…there are NSA and the right to elect still on the plate so we will have lots to still argue about. I’m sure you are one of those naive Americans who still believe in democracy. Bush killed it once and for all and our Trojan Horse president will make sure it never returns. The people of Sedona will vote to appoint a mayor because they are sheep and don’t deserve the right to elect even a dog catcher.
Oh!!! And GG. I’d rather blather than mime.
February 8th, 2010 at 12:52 pm
So, Sanford Bach is another of our part-time residents. Wonder if he’s even registered to vote in Sedona? It’s amazing how so many part-time and even non-residents are so take-charge of Sedona politics.
February 8th, 2010 at 1:11 pm
Dear Timmy:
It’s Sandford, not Sanford. My mother spelled it that way because I was born in our beach house in the Hamptons.
And you would be surprised how much influence outsiders do have on Sedona politics, especially contractors and developers.
The truth, like incest, is relative. And, as in every government in the world, relationships between leaders and builders is usually incestuos.
Politics, like physics, is a science. Applied with precision, politics rewrites history.
February 8th, 2010 at 1:48 pm
Why at the top of the above 20 comments am I reading “Blog With SANFORD Bach”? Jeeze . . .
FYI, “dirty deals” in Sedona are so commonplace they are no longer newsworthy.
Really, nothing, I’m sorry to say, in your above comments informed me of anything I didn’t already know.
February 8th, 2010 at 2:28 pm
Lordy, lordy Mr. San(d)ford Bach. Are you insinuating that our current honorable Mayor is double dealing?
I do so hope that his negotiations with the ADOT folks aren’t implying the City of Sedona will accept a “turn-back” of the portion of 89A wherein the proposed lighting is to occur. The city has erred so excessively in their re-design with the less than one mile of the formerly State controlled portion of that 89 route through uptown Sedona that assuming jurisdiction of the main-frame through West Sedona would surely be disaster.
Oh well, maybe that would be the final nail in the coffin for the City of Sedona because costs for maintenance and liability alone would no doubt send the City’s already defunct financial plight plummeting to the bottom of the ocean.
It’s very difficult to even ponder that our current Mayor might be one of the barricudas (or is it sharks) circling (or is it buzzards or vultures)?
Oh well, pick and choose. It’s become impossible to determine the white hats from the black hats these days.
February 8th, 2010 at 3:24 pm
Then? Who are you supporting this election if you already know?
February 8th, 2010 at 9:05 pm
Only “The Shadow” can answer that question.
