Nancy Scagnelli
Nancy Scagnelli was born and raised in the Chicago area, and graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in American Studies. She and her husband of 35 years, Steve, a ceramic artist, moved to Sedona in 1973 and opened Esteban’s, one of the first businesses in Tlaquepaque. Today, Esteban’s is still a thriving business and Nancy is also a co-owner of Zonies Galleria in Uptown Sedona.
Nancy’s three grown children were born and raised in Sedona. Over the years, Nancy has been active in the community, serving on the first elected Sedona-Oak Creek School Board, the boards of numerous school and merchant organizations, and as president of Citizens For an Alternate Route.
As a long time Sedona resident, Nancy understands the ever-changing fabric of the Sedona community, and will work to ensure that it remains a place where people of all ages can live and work. She brings a practical approach to issues, and strives to abide by advice her father once gave her: “ Make sure you are part of the solution, not part of the problem.”
